Under Construction

For family night, we assembled a gingerbread house. Personalities were revealed and everyone exposed their true colors. Erik got down to business....shoring the side of the house as it started to collapse, mixing the concrete, organizing the stock pile of supplies, asking us to submit RFIs if we wanted to alter anything in the plans.....you know, the construction business as usual. Sadie kept us all artistic, color coordinated and on task. In between my giggles (after all these years Erik can still get me laughing non-stop), I stuck close to Deklan who's MO was: one treat on the house, one treat in the mouth, one treat on the house, two treats in the mouth, one treat on the house, one treat in mom's mouth. He's no dummy. It's a lovely little house, but unfortunately will be undergoing foreclosure upon our return from Utah and I'm sure Erik and Deklan will find a way to implode the little beauty when the new year rolls around.
